How the free CV tool handles your data

Who we are
The free CV reframing tool is run by The Sales Circle. For anything about your data, email hello@thesalescircle.io.
Your CV
Your CV is read once, in memory, to pull out its text. That text is sent to Anthropic, whose Claude model writes the report. Anthropic processes it under its commercial API terms and does not use it to train its models.
We do not keep your CV or its text. Nothing from it is written to disk, to a database or to a log. It exists on our side only for as long as the request that reads it, and your browser lets go of the file the moment the report comes back.
Your report lives in your browser until you close or reload the page. We hold no copy of it. If you ask for it by email, it is built into a PDF and sent in that request, and the PDF is not kept either.
Your email address and phone number
We store your address and phone number when you ask for the report, ask for the universal guide, or join the waitlist. Each record holds the address, the phone number, the time, which of those three it was, and whether you ticked the box about career tips. We keep it until you ask us to delete it. We use your phone number to follow up about your report and The Sales Circle programme.
We use the address to send you the thing you asked for. We write again only if you ticked the box, and then only with occasional tech sales career tips. Reply to any email, or write to the address above, to stop those at any time.
Abuse controls and cookies
- Human check. Cloudflare Turnstile confirms a person is uploading, before any CV is read.
- Rate limits. Your IP address is held in a counter for up to 24 hours so one person cannot spend the whole day's budget.
- Cookies. The tool sets up to three functional cookies, each an opaque signed id: one for the upload (15 minutes), one for collecting the report (24 hours), and one cooldown between reviews (10 minutes). None holds anything about you or your CV. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.
- Page views. Vercel Analytics counts visits without cookies and without identifying you.
Who processes data for us
- Anthropic: reads the CV text and writes the report.
- Upstash: holds the rate limit counters and the email and phone number records.
- SendGrid: sends the report and guide emails.
- Cloudflare: runs the human check.
- Vercel: hosts the tool and counts page views.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, have it corrected, or have it deleted. Email hello@thesalescircle.io and we will deal with it. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data you can complain to the Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.
